The Capacity Enhancement unit (CE) implements capacity development programmes for HSRC staff, researcher trainees (MA and PhD interns), and post-doctoral fellows.

It also plays a vital role in strengthening research collaboration and exchange programmes with appropriate organisations within South Africa and throughout the African continent.

CE is divided into three areas to ensure that training and collaboration for all staff within the HSRC takes place and is monitored.  The three areas are: staff development, researcher trainee development and institutional collaboration.
