Project summary
This is an ongoing study that examines the situation of South Africa's elderly, with specific reference to their care receiving and giving. In order to explore this basic theme, the study covers issues that relate to intergenerational relationships, the role of social grants in households with older persons, institutionalisation of older persons and the general quality of life of older persons.
