- What are the current levels of performance of Grade 9 learners in mathematics, science and English?
- What are the factors affecting the performance of Grade 9 learners?
- What changes have taken place at the level of policy and practice in the six years spanning the period 1996 to 2002?
- What methods and procedures should be employed when conducting a systemic evaluation study, analysing data emanating from these studies, and reporting results to relevant role players affected by these studies?
- How should performance levels be established?
- What are the perceptions of teachers and principals regarding the implementation of the Common Task of Assessment, and how valid were these assessments?
- How does the performance of the learners assessed in the Quality Learning Project compare to that of a national sample?
