Business Development in the HSRC takes into account strategic HSRC objectives, such as extending the organisation's funding base by means of external contracts and grants, reaching out to potential collaborators and stakeholders through our research work, and responding to user needs. The HSRC Business Development facility provides support to researchers in the HSRC to reach these objectives.

Services available from the Business Development facility include the following:

• Environmental scanning: Informing researchers of new tenders and funding opportunities.
• Administrative and logistical support with the preparation, packaging and delivery of funding proposals.
• Advisory services with regard to research contracts with clients and service providers.
• Summarised information on submitted and successful funding proposals.
